Rotational Leadership

We recognize that a dynamic, growing company benefits from having diversity of opinions and fresh energy within their leadership team. To foster this, we have a unique approach to leadership at Pretium where our Leadership Team positions, from Team Managers to President, are “term” positions. For each term, qualified team members are invited to apply, submitting their vision for the role. This allows for new leaders with fresh ideas to emerge. A selection committee interviews and selects the person deemed the best fit for the upcoming term. When our leaders can focus their energy on achieving specific objectives within a fixed timeframe, the entire organization benefits.

Access to Company Leaders

Given the rotational basis for leadership, senior team members in the company remain involved in project work, in addition to their other responsibilities. They are actively providing client management support, technical review, and mentoring team members as needed. They are also assigned to participate on a service team. This arrangement gives all team members the opportunity to have access to guidance and support from the most experienced people in the company.

Opportunities for Growth and Development

In addition to providing access to technical leaders for all team members, we place great emphasis on breaking down barriers to development and avoiding “silos” within the organization. Team members are assigned to a primary service area, but there are significant opportunities to gain experience and cross-train in other service areas, as supported and facilitated by regular communications between Service Team Managers.

Career Tracks

We have options for both Project Management and Technical Career Streams. We recognize that while all team members are required to have technical excellence and the ability to interact with clients, they also have their own individual strengths. Some team members may excel in client service management and financial literacy while others may excel in technical specialization and complex problem solving. Our Career Streams allow our team members to focus on their strengths and core interests.

Industry Participation

We support our team in sharing their expertise with technical and industry organizations. Many of our team members are serving as directors, participating on standards committees, and speaking at industry events. As thought leaders in the technical field, our team members help to leave their mark on the fields they are passionate about.
