EIFS Replacement
3 Storey Commercial Building
- The existing EIFS lamina (finish coat, reinforcing mesh and base coat) was in poor condition. The owner retained a contractor to replace the existing system with new.
- Structural review of existing prefabricated EIFS panel system and loading calculations of the existing panels and new assembly on connections to the building structure.
- Hygrothermal analysis (using WUFI) of new EIFS over existing assembly which had two vapour barriers (polyethylene sheet and metal liner).
- Third party construction review of the new EIFS installation including substrate preparation & repair, sheathing installation, water resistive barrier and transition membrane flashing, insulation board, base coat, reinforcing mesh, finish coat, and sealant installations.
