Over time, balconies and their guards can experience wear and tear that impacts both their structural integrity and overall aesthetic. Our team of experienced engineers conducts thorough assessments that provide building owners and operators with a detailed understanding of their assets, highlighting potential liabilities, so that they know what to expect both short and long term. From concrete to wood, and any number of structural designs and configurations, our team has seen it all.

Our vast experience allows us to provide clients with practical repair solutions. Whether you are updating finishes, repairing a structure, or addressing other functionality issues, we are here to help.

As a specialized consultant, we bring in-depth expertise across all cladding types, allowing our team to assess the current condition of cladding, identify deficiencies and risks, and provide information and recommendations needed to make informed decisions about restoration options.

Once a roadmap has been agreed upon, our detailed design packages help to mitigate risk by providing clear and concise information to potential contractors bidding the work. Our team’s attention to detail shines, as we capture all of the agreed upon aspects of the project, turning a vision into reality.

During construction, we continue to provide value to clients by reviewing the work completed against the requirements of the design and specifications. We treat every building like it is our own, focusing on quality in everything we do, from the most technical details and aesthetics to the experience of those occupying the site.

Pretium provides comprehensive curtain wall, window, and door system solutions to fit project needs.

We understand that there are many competing factors when it comes to planning and executing a window or door project, from enhancing building appearance, maximizing return on investment, improving energy performance and occupant comfort, to minimizing the impact of construction on fully occupied buildings. We work with clients to understand requirements on a building-by-building basis, allowing our team to appropriately tailor services to fit each project.

During a window or door replacement project, our team partners with clients each step of the way from the condition assessment and investigations, through design, and to project completion. We understand and value the importance of continuity when it comes to air, thermal, and water or moisture control layers at interface details.

We also provide third party inspection, structural design, thermal modelling, expert witness and litigation support, and more.

Overcladding a building exterior has many benefits beyond just extending the life of the building. We can work with you to breathe new life into your exterior, balancing performance and aesthetics.

Parking garages can sometimes be out of sight, out of mind, but when repairs are needed disruptions to using them can be challenging. We work with our clients and the contractor to plan and phase the work so that we can get you and the building occupants back to your everyday life. This shoring was installed as part of a parking garage roof slab replacement project, where Pretium provided design, tendering, and construction review and contract administration.

From drones to bosun’s chair, we bring the right combination of tools and knowledge to our projects. Collecting data in-order to base our recommendations on evidence is part of our culture. Here, a member of Pretium’s staff is conducting an exterior wall condition assessment via bosun’s chair. The bosun’s chair allows quick access to the walls so that the condition of the cladding, windows, sealants, and concrete elements can be reviewed.

Restoration work at your property does not stop at the building. Site features like walkways, roadways, parking lots, and amenity spaces can need renewal and are often impacted by other adjacent projects. This new amenity space at a high rise residential building includes a new concrete patio, wood pergola, and railings.
